Miley Cyrus has broken up with Liam Hemsworth, his rep confirmed to People. A source told E! Online: 'Ever since she left for Detroit, Miley has been super focused on her work. Liam wanted more, but she's 17 and has other priorities right now. He's been a distraction. [Miley's] not with anybody else.'

Liam reportedly hooked up with a new girl in Huntington Beach where he was also partying during the US Open Surf Competition. After, Liam went to Detroit to visit Miley on the set of LOL, making it his second trip since she arrived July 12.

'Both visits were only about 24 hours in length, by Miley's choice. She is not ready to settle down, and Liam's not a happy camper. They're both young. To say they are done forever would be premature, but it's safe to say for now they are doing their own thing.' Liam has been seen with 'a few random girls' in Manhattan Beach.

Miley Cyrus is ending the summer as a single lady. The teen queen has split from her boyfriend Liam Hemsworth after more than a year of dating.

Hemsworth's PR representative confirmed the "Can't Be Tamed" singer and her beefy Australian beau have officially called it quits. "It's true," the actor's rep told RadarOnline.com. The news comes after reports that the couple were getting serious. According to Radar, Cyrus recently purchased a $3.4 million house, not far from her parents' California home, where Hemsworth was a frequent guest.

Hemsworth and Cyrus struck up a romance after meeting on the film set of "The Last Song" in 2009. The pop star said earlier this year that although she wasn't on the lookout for a boyfriend, Hemsworth won her over with his gentlemanly charm.

"I kind of just wanted to focus on my work. I tend to hide behind my work sometimes," Cyrus said on "Ellen" in March. "But I met him, and he opened the door for me, and I was like, I have been in L.A. for three years and I don't think any guy has actually opened the door for me. It wasn't that he wanted the job. That's just who he is. I was like, 'Wow, that is super-impressive.' I actually turned to the director and said, 'He's got the job.' He's hot and he opened the door. Excellent."

Cyrus, who dropped her latest album, Can't Be Tamed, in June, said that much of the LP was inspired by her romance with Hemsworth.

"There are a lot of songs that are about Liam," Cyrus told MTV News when Tamed was released. "I tell him every one's about him," she quipped.

In the upcoming episode “Been Here All Along,” Miley cancels a planned father-daughter afternoon with Robby Ray so she can go on a date with Jesse (Roy), but she then tries to make amends.

The episode also includes a salute to military families where Miley performs “Been Here All Along” and “I’m Still Good.” 40 special messages from military families will air throughout the evening and will be available with the episode at DisneyChannel.com/Salute.

In the upcoming episode “Love That Let’s Go,” Lilly (Osment) finally works up the nerve to get on Blue Jeans, and while on a ride, he gets bitten by a snake and falls ill. Lilly and Robby Ray support Miley as she struggles to deal with Blue Jean’s illness.

Meanwhile, in order to please Siena (Tammin Sursok), Jackson (Jason Earles) tries to read her favorite novel but keeps getting sidetracked by his wrestling magazines. John Cena guest stars as himself to provide Jackson with some real life motivation.

Miley Cyrus is releasing the music video for her song “Who Owns My Heart” in Europe soon and was recently filming for the video in Detroit, Michigan – the same place she is working on filming her upcoming movie “LOL: Laughing Out Loud.”

While Miley will not be releasing “Who Owns My Heart” as a single yet in the US, fans in the United States can be on the lookout for Miley’s song “Two More Lonely People” to be her next release.

Miley’s “Who Owns My Heart” music video is being directed by Robert Hales.
