The 15-year old stars in the programme which targets audiences made up of girls between six and fourteen. In the show, made by Disney, Miley plays a schoolgirl who leads a secret double life as a pop star.

Despite the young impressionable market she is selling to, Cyrus wants her show to go in a direction more akin to the adult themes of New York based Sex And The City. However, she denies wanting to make Hannah Montana’s situations raunchy like Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte and Samantha. She explains via Wenn: "Obviously not the scenarios.

“But, if you watch Sex and the City, like the way the friends are, the way that it's dry and they all have distinct characters - that's a thing we try to do on our show. It's my favourite show! I love it!"

Miley Cyrus hasn't let an opportunity pass to make sure she's doing her part to help raise money for Haiti. She participated in both the "We Are the World" remake as well as the "Everybody Hurts" cover organized by Simon Cowell. Now, Cyrus has rounded up a number of items from fellow celebrities, including Britney Spears, for a Haiti benefit auction beginning on Monday (February 2).

"Ever since the earthquake, I've been trying to do my part to help the people of Haiti — and I wanted to do more," Cyrus told People about the eBay auction, in which fans can bid on the Herve Leger dress she wore to the Grammy Awards last month, as well as two tickets to the Hollywood premiere of her upcoming film, "The Last Song." "I want to get people involved and show that even the little things you can do can make a difference."

A message on eBay.com/Miley says that the auction will include tickets to Hugh Jackman's next movie premiere, Whoopi Goldberg's tennis shoes and Demi Lovato's tour wardrobe. Proceeds will go to the American Red Cross. According to People, Nicole Richie has donated jewelry from her House of Harlow line and Spears has donated the silver Versace dress she wore to the 2008 MTV VMAs (having just gained permission to do so in a court hearing last month).

"I texted Nicole and right away she sent over some amazing jewelry and Joel [Madden] sent some of his clothes," Cyrus told the magazine. "Everyone has been so generous. My mom and I started calling and texting all of our friends to see if they'd like to be a part of the auction. Demi [Lovato] was one of the first to respond. Hugh Jackman was also excited to donate something."

An upcoming episode of "Hannah Montana" will see Jon Cryer playing dad to Emily Osment. The "Two and a Half Men" star has landed a guest role on the Disney series as Lilly Truscott's father, Kenneth, and will appear in an episode titled "The Wheel Near My Bed (Keeps On Turnin')".

The particular episode revolves around Lilly. When her mom accepts a job in Atlanta, Lilly comes to live with the Stewarts. After overhearing Miley Cyrus's Miley complaining about their living arrangement however, the teenager moves into her dad's cramped apartment. She soon learns that living with her old man is even more chaotic than being with Miley.

"The Wheel Near My Bed (Keeps On Turnin')" will be making its way to the small screen on Sunday, February 21 at 8 P.M. ET/PT on Disney Channel.

This year there are two films based on Nicholas Sparks books hitting your local cinema. On Friday (February 4), fans can see Amanda Seyfried and Channing Tatum fall in love in "Dear John" and, come this March, Miley Cyrus will find love with Liam Hemsworth in "The Last Song." So, are Seyfried and Tatum feeling a little competitive?

"If 'The Last Song' was coming out the same weekend as 'Dear John,' we'd have to collaborate on some sort of sabotage mission," Seyfried joked.

But Tatum notes that there's no reason for them to worry since the films are opening weeks apart, with "The Last Song" not hitting theaters until March 31. "No, not any more competition than all the rest of his movies coming out," he said. "I think all his films are very, very separate from one another with one theme: love. We're not competing for the same weekend."

Miley Cyrus will perform at Rock In Rio in Madrid on June 6, 2010. That day, the so famous Hannah Montana star will perform for the first time in Spain on the festival's Escenario Mundo, and will probably make young adolescents come to the festival as well.

Cyrus joins this way the list of performers this year which already includes Shakira, Bon Jovi and Rihanna. She's been honored as the youngest star having four number one hits in less than three years due to the success of her first two debut albums and her acting skills on the TV and Movies.

In fact, the Hannah Montana star, daughter of country star Billy Ray Cyrus, has been recently chosen by 'Time' Magazine' as one of the most influent people in the world and will be presenting her album 'The Time Of Our Lives' including hit 'Party In The USA' at Rock In Rio Madrid 2010.

And of course, she'll also attend the Rock In Rio Lisboa 2010, which will also be her first performance in Portugal. She'll be performing at the Palco Mundo in a day dedicated to the family. Date wasn't revealed yet. We'll keep you updated as soon as we know!

Check out this cover of R.E.M.’s “Everybody Hurts,” featuring some of the biggest artists on the UK and US music scenes!

The song, which will be available for download on Sunday, February 7, and released on CD the following day, features the voices of Leona Lewis, Mariah Carey, Jon Bon Jovi, Kylie Minogue, Miley Cyrus, Susan Boyle, Mika, Michael Buble and more!

The collaboration was the brainchild of Simon Cowell, who said late last month that he’d get artists to sing on the track right away.

According to HMV, the single will split proceeds 50/50 between Disasters Emergency Committee and The Sun’s “Helping Haiti” appeal.
